Gulp 咕咚

A crew of tiny astronauts crash-lands on Planet Gulp. The planet is one huge sleeping creature, the ground is its skin, and the mouth in the dirt is always hungry. Fight automatically, haul meat to the mouth for coins, level up, rescue your crew, fix the ship — then ride one big burp home.

Trailer

Forty seconds of how it plays

All footage is in-game; music and sound are from the game. The video is hosted on YouTube and loads from YouTube only after you press play.

How it plays

Five things and you know the game

  1. The crew sidesteps a red warning strip on Scab Slope while damage numbers fly

Push to dodge, let go to fight

Your crew fights on its own. Before an enemy strikes, the ground lights up red; after every strike comes an opening. Push the stick to pull everyone out, let go to send them back in. That is the whole control scheme.

  2. A small mouth on Scab Slope during a burp event, banner reading meat pays double

    Keep the mouth fed

Monsters drop meat. Carry it to the mouth and it turns into coins, and coins raise the whole crew's attack, health and bag size. Crew left at camp keep gathering while you are away.

  3. Party panel: a squad of four — Saucer, Puffer, Ballast, Gloop — and three benched crew gathering gold

    Find your scattered crew

One sneeze scattered seven astronauts across the planet's face. Each has one skill and a lot of opinions. Field any four and swap whenever you like.

  4. Boss fight in the tooth den: King Cavity in a pool of pink light, a red warning circle under the crew

    Play dentist to a planet

The caves are its tooth cavity and its ear canal. King Cavity lives in one, the Echo Queen in the other. Learn their moves, win, and bring home a missing ship part.

  5. Map panel showing six regions: Cochlea Grove, Scab Slope, Lipside, Bruise Plain, Gum Valley and The Navel

Six patches of skin, one living planet

Lipside, Scab Slope, Gum Valley, Cochlea Grove, Bruise Plain and The Navel — each with its own creatures, hazards and a small sleeping mouth to wake.
